Courtney and Mike's wedding is near and dear to my heart for so many reasons. Courtney and I met years ago when I was launching my business in Houston, and she worked for one of the area's top wedding design firms. We hit it off instantly, and as our paths would continue to intertwine, we became great friends. Courtney joined the A&E Team in 2016, and we couldn't have been happier to help plan the wedding of one of our very own girls!
I can remember Courtney talking about Mike for as long as I've known her. Every time his name is mentioned, her face lights up. When you see these two in a room together, you can feel the electricity. There is no doubt that Courtney and Mike are a perfect fit!
Courtney and Mike's wedding was all about family from start to finish. Between the two of them, they have five amazing children who all played a key role in their wedding day. They were married at Courtney's gorgeous family winery in Plantersville, Texas and even Courtney's step-dad performed the ceremony.
Every time we checked in with Mike throughout the day, he asked about Courtney. You could feel his excitement and how ready he was to meet his bride at the end of the aisle. When the ceremony began and Courtney started to make her way down the aisle, there was not a dry eye in attendance, especially Mike's.
In keeping with the setting and their love for wine, Courtney, Mike and all of the kids took part in a wine blending ceremony that signified all of their unique personalities coming together to create the perfect blend. (Don't worry, only the adults took a sip.)
When Courtney and Mike were announced husband and wife, cheers erupted from the crowd!
Every detail of the wedding was absolute perfection. What else could you expect from a wedding planner and designer? Courtney's love for lush, full flowers and an abundance of candlelight came together to create one absolutely stunning wedding!
Courtney and Mike were fully present and lived in the moment during every second of their wedding. After spending the entire day in anticipation, once they finally saw each other you couldn't pull them apart. The room stood still when they took to the dance floor for their first dance.
And they couldn't let the night pass without cutting loose in the photobooth!
At the end of the night, we cleared the room so Courtney and Mike could have one final last dance together. When it was over, both of their eyes were filled with tears.
Congratulations, Courtney and Mike! The new Mr. and Mrs. Farmer!
